Vivienne Westwood for Melissa Shoes Sale!

Okay, so while Vivienne Westwood might not actually be “indie”, anymore, she’s a) the original independent fashion designer and b) totally amazing. Her punk chic diffusion line, Anglomania, is always fabulous, but not really affordable. But until day’s end, you can pick up a few of her designs for Melissa Shoes on Gilt at bottom of the barrel prices.
Melissa Shoes makes all rubber shoes, and this is plasticized version of the classic Westwood T-strap is almost unbearably cute. Plus, it’s practical. Like you could wear it in the rain and stuff. I love this soft cotton candy pink version.

Hot New LBDs for Fall

Oh, the little black dress, could there be any article of clothing more classic and iconic? No way. But this season, the LBD is taking on new shapes, and it’s all about interesting draping and asymmetrical details. Even if you usually pass LBDs by with a blasé attitude, I think you’ll be surprised at how new this old standby can look.
Oh, Alexander McQueen, you little British bad boy, do you ever go wrong? Not in my opinion, and certainly not here. The classic Grecian draping we’ve seen for the past few seasons moves, in this dress, to the bottom, which …read more

One of my favorite parts of Fall is outerwear. Whether is 80 degrees outside or 50 degrees outside a cute blazer is perfect for almost an occasion. The key, of course, is to find the best fit and the best quality. The fit and the quality of this Vivienne Westwood Fitted Blazer is probably one of the best I have seen recently, and that’s why it is on my “wish list,” even though it might be a Summer jacket that is on sale at Zappos.com at the moment.
This blazer is black with an absolutely adorable stripped collar. It has a button …read more
Vivienne Westwood: Crazy as Ever

Vivienne Westwood, one of my most favorite fashion designers, is known for her punky and daring designs for ages, but her own personal look is questionable at times. Her signature strawberry blonde hair and ever spunkier personal style has me thinking that she may just be on the right side of crazy genius.
However, this look from the UK premier of the critically acclaimed (and I cannot wait to see!) documentary, Burma VJ has my head spinning. What is the deal with that head piece? And if you’re going to wear some type of crazy hat thing shouldn’t you do something …read more

By now, the weather has either just about killed you because the temperatures haven’t fallen below 90 degrees in two months our you’re wishing for the temperature to rise above 70 degrees so you can wear those summer clothes that we keep talking about.
If you’re in the first group, I feel your pain. While my thermometer currently reads 102, I am sitting at computer wishing for a frozen margarita and a pool to magically appear. I’m doing this while wearing the #1 summer essential for those of you that endure the summer heat from May to September, a sleeveless top.

Katy Perry’s Stylish Sunglasses and Shoes

I love every piece of Katy Perry’s outfit for her interview with Chris Moyles in London this week! She is a huge fan of Ray-Ban, so at first look it seems that she is wearing yet another pair of the Ray-Ban Clubmaster sunglasses. I spotted her wearing them here in grey so I thought these were the same style in pink.
These sunglasses are very similar to the classic Clubmaster style with rimless bottoms and colored half frames, but the main difference is that these frames are plastic instead of metal. These sunglasses are the Juicy Couture Archival Sunglasses in Neon …read more

This black designer skirt reminds me of something the femme fatale would wear in an old 40s movie, except the material looks much more modern, refined, and stretchable/comfortable to wear.
Vivienne Westwood gives us fashion at its sexiest with this pencil skirt; it would look great at a variety of evening outings, as well as translate to the boardroom in the day with the right top and accessories.
