It’s almost fall and you know what that means, right? It means you need a new wallet. Don’t deny it, you really do! I know I do, I’ve been using the same one for 3 years! If you’re in the same boat, it’s time for an upgrade! And you’re in luck because there are so many super cute ones to choose from!

MARC by Marc Jacobs Classic Q New Flap Wallet ($198) is shown here in a pretty lavender shade. It’s also available in black, faded aluminum (grey) and wine leather. It’s a tri-fold wallet that’s roomy enough to store your cards, cash, checkbook and change. And a Marc Jacobs wallet wouldn’t be complete without the signature Marc Jacobs details; the logo plaque on the front and the fun print lining on the inside.

Another fun and functional fold over wallet is the Fulton Logo Clutch Wallet by MICHAEL Michael Kors ($178). It’s available in gunmetal (shown), purple, black and vanilla. The oversized gold tone MK logo is the only embellishment and it complements all of the leather shades beautifully. What I really love about this wallet is it doubles as a wristlet, perfect for those times when all you are the basics.

Both of these can be purchased at Nordstrom stores and online. Just like your handbags you should have a few wallets to choose from and rotate.

I have a friend who has an obsession, a wallet obsession. One weekend we were doing some Spring cleaning and I came upon her wallets. There were big ones, small ones, bright ones, dark ones, brown ones, black ones, you name it she had it.

Of course I knew about this obsession, but it was just amazing to actually see all these wallets in person. I asked her if I could swap her one of her wallets for one of my pairs of shoes. You should have seen the look on her face. She was wounded. How dare you ask to trade me one of your 500 shoes for one of my 501 wallets. Needless to say, the swap didn’t occur, but I did find a new appreciation for wallets that day.

That’s why, dear wallet obsessed friends, I am recommending this Marc by Marc Jacobs Zipped Leather Wallet. For those ladies who need a big bright wallet with gold toned details with pleated details throughout the front (which is my favorite part of the wallet) this is perfection. When was the last time your husband or Dad changed out his wallet? If he’s anything like the guys that I know, that would be… 5 years ago (or more!). Unlike us gals who switch out bags and wallets with the changing seasons, most guys tend to keep their wallets until they’ve basically disintegrated. Usually those poor wallets are packed to the brim with loose change, receipts, business cards and such. It’s a wonder those things even fit in their back pockets!

With Father’s Day coming up, it would be a good idea to give your dad or husband a new and stylish wallet to use for another five years…

I seem to be ridiculously hard on my wallet – I pull off zippers, lose snaps… But I can keep the same purse for years – I’m not quite sure why!

I think that using a hard-sided wallet may be a better option for me – and these aluminum ones from Uncommon Goods come in a some very pretty colors:

Just look at all the compartments that this wallet has to offer. I think that it just might work for me. But the coin department… with the size of coins these days, I wouldn’t even bother. I simply drop any coins into the bottom of my bag and then remove them when I get home. Have you noticed just how quickly they add up??

This double pocket wallet is almost too gorgeous to hide inside a handbag! And those two pockets in the front would be great for change. I only wish that bills would multiply as quickly as my change does.

Details…
Amethyst leather wallet with gold hardware. Wallet has two signature buckle fastening pockets on the front with a zip fastening pocket above them, a slit pocket on the back and a zip fastening across the top which opens to reveal sections for notes and credit cards.
