This year marks their 20th anniversary and they have designed a Limited Edition Anniversary Collection of watches for men and women.  I had the opportunity to try out two Skagen Design watches in person and I have to say, I was pretty impressed.

The watch on the left is the 20th Anniversary Edition Watch ($125) and it was designed with Skagen’s signature style case. The cool stainless steel mesh band is what sets this watch apart from all the others. The watch itself is very light-weight and slim.

The watch on the right is the Silver Links with Glitz Watch ($125) and this watch has the traditional stainless steel link band and a very slim round case. The dial is chrome and the number indicators are marked with Swarovski crystals.

These watches are for the woman who wants a watch that won’t get in the way of her daily activities. They are  streamlined, modern, beautifully designed and nicely priced. Wear them with your little black dress and your jeans, they go with anything!

The annual “Runway to Service” auction is a joint event between Mercedes Benz Fashion Week designers and the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.  Designers donate clothing and accessories right off the runway, which is then auctioned off to raise funds for the victims and family members of 9/11.

So what kind of goodies can you find at the online auction?

Hello Kitty Sporty Kitty Bracelet Watch ($174) – This would be my choice! It’s also available in black and pink (natch!).  This style is quite trendy but depending on the colour you choose, it can be worn as an every day watch.

Hello Kitty Forever Kitty Rectangular Dial Watch ($190) – Here’s a more traditional choice. The wide leather band is also available in pink but I feel the black is a better choice for every day.
