Love is Brewing Tea Bag Wedding Favors

At my friend Jane’s recent wedding she gave little tins of chamomile tea as favors. The tea smelled so lovely (and tasted delicious later!) and was so pretty in its little tin that guests were literally bargaining with each other to get more. I thought it was a great idea of a favor that is usable and memorable, and these sweet tea bags reminded me of that.
You choose your colors and the text. You even choose the tea, and it’s enough to make one full pot. Plus, I love the tagline “love is brewing”. It’s sweet, but of course, you …read more

Vintage Matchbox Favors by Firefly Notes

I know it isn’t really PC to give matches as favors, but these matchboxes are so lovely and retro that I’m willing to overlook that. The designer uses vintage wedding photos and glitter to embellish these sweet little gifts. I guess that sounds like it could look pretty cheesy, but it doesn’t. See for yourself:

Lovely, right? And, I guess if you’re worried about using them to light cigarettes you could give them with a little candle. They come personalized with your name and the date of your wedding, and they’re sure to be a hit with any bride with a …read more

Custom Wedding Stickers by Mau

Why, you might wonder, would I possibly need wedding stickers? Too kitschy and cheap and, well, stickery…It’s not as though people are going to use them as bumper stickers, after all.
Well, yes, okay, fine, but imagine creatively what you could use them for. I think they would be perfect on gift bags, which for my wedding were a time eater, because my mother-in-law hand painted every single bag, which was sweet, but this would have saved her a lot of time. Or, if you’d like to give something like a scented candle as a party favor, then this would be …read more

Wedding Dress Cookies by Maria Elena Events

This may sound funny coming from a wedding blogger, but I’m not really into the fetishization of the wedding dress. I don’t mean my dress or your dress, I mean that I am simply not interested in the cult of wedding dresses in general. I like dresses in particular.
So, I’m usually also not into wedding dress themed cards, invitations, or party favors. But I’m making an exception.
Aren’t these just the cutest cookies you ever did see? I mean, seriously. I love the idea of laying out trays of them for showers and whatnot. And while you’d think they were sugar …read more

Paper Parasols by Luna Bazaar

Well, Splendicity readers, I left you as a Miss, but I return to you as a Mrs. Which means that I have more than a few tips and whatnot to share from my big day. The first being an item that does triple duty as a party favor, sun shield, and fashion accessory.
It may not look like much on screen, but these parasols will surely save the day if it’s a hot one. I gave them as favors (alternated with fans), and they were so popular that not only did every single one disappear, but people on the streets of …read more

Make Your Own Chocolate Wedding Favors

I wanted to give wedding favors that, A: tasted good, and B: kept with our colours & theme. So if you’re following me here so far, they needed to be blue, green or brown butterflies and not taste like chalk.
Doesn’t sound too hard right?
I loved these chocolate butterflies.
But they don’t ship to Canada.
I did some looking around and couldn’t find a Canadian source for them. Sigh…
We still wanted to go with something yummy, inexpensive and in our colours. I’ve made candy to give as gifts for years now and thought I was up to making our own favors. I spent …read more

Holiday Wedding Favors… Snowflake Wine Stopper

Anyone getting married in the next couple of months? If you are, you are going to love these little favors. Just imagine how gorgeous they will look sitting next to everyone’s place setting. The clear cones are not included, but I’m sure that you could pick them up at a craft store. But even tying a white ribbon to each snowflake would look absolutely breathtaking at a winter wedding.
