We get to watch as their team of specialists guide brides through the process of selecting, fitting, altering and delivering a flawless dress in time for their wedding day.

I know from experience that things don’t always go perfectly, and not all brides are easy to work with. It is fascinating to watch a bride find that dream dress for her once in a lifetime day.

Say Yes To The Dress

Red is a wonderful color to go with during the Christmas season if you want to stick with the traditional, and you want to capitalize on the spirit of Christmas.

You can even add a splash of red to your wedding gown. You can add a red sash or a belt around the middle.

Go with some red embroidery on the train or bodice of your wedding gown.

Red bows, inserts or trim can also add a splash of color to your dress. Or if you want to be a little more dramatic, go for a red train, or underskirt.

You don’t even have to add the red to your dress. This time of the year you can add a cape or cover-up  to your wedding day look with a touch of red in the stitching or trim.

Wedding Gowns With A Splash Of Red

This eco-friendly Chameleon Gown has a lot going for it. The simple a-line skirt and empire waist make it a great choice for almost any figure, and the straps that are twisted and wrapped around the waist here are totally convertible. Here are some other fabulous ways to wear this gown.

I love the wrapped, strapless version of the dress, but frankly, I’m not crazy about the way the skirt gathers as a result. It’s a bit unflattering for hip-y girls, but would be great for slim, tall women.

This more modest version is great for fall. And the wide obi-style belt looks amazing, particularly with the ends of it fluttering around.

This intricately pleated and tied version looks amazing. It’s very earth goddess/wood nymph, and I think it would be amazing with a simple twig wreath and sandals.

Gianfranco Ferré Crepe Gown

This Red Poppy evening gown by Ruby Pearl has a fabulously daring bodice, and multi-layered princess skirt. I love all the tulle overlay, it looks as though it’s just floating on top of the skirt. This eye-popping shade of poppy will really wow guests on your big day. Available for $1,125 from Ruby Pearl.

This Italian-designed gown by Lady K has a somewhat more subdued maroon hue, but it’s still going to knock some socks off. The boned bodice makes it flattering for a lot of figures, and the gold embroidery is great for a bride looking for a lot of sparkle out of her gown. Available for $796.22 from Lady K.

If you want to go red, but you’re not ready to go all the way, here’s a great option by HawKrafts. It has an almost medieval look to it, with red and gold trim and a completely breathtaking red train. Available for $500 from HawKrafts.

This charmeuse and chiffon number by Unique-Vintage is my personal fave so far. I love the 40’s style vintage sensibility, and the sexy allure of the bare shoulder Plus, it’s a total bargain at only $98. Available from Unique-Vintage.

This sultry sequined red glamour gown by Jovani is a real showstopper. The mermaid shape with long sweep is very elegant, but the sparkly sequins and deep v-neck are all glamour-puss. Available for $500 from Unique-Vintage.

The intricate pleating on the gown is gorgeous and flattering, and I love the asymmetrical lace appliqués. The silhouette is a simple column, brought in by a structured waistband. I think that this is the perfect gown for a sophisticated, modern bride who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money, but wants something totally one-of-a-kind. Silk Chiffon Gown by Agnieszka Swiatly

Holy perfection. Honestly, this dress is amazing. It takes a lot of things that I’m not always sure about and makes them inarguably fabulous. Jewel adornment, grecian draping, ankle lengths, these are not a few of my favorite things, but their combination on this dress is positively ideal. The slim bodice  with its chiffon overlayers will look great on anyone, and the belted waist and voluminous (but not too voluminous) skirt are also super flattering. The length is just right to let a pair of fabulous shoes peek out. Oh, and just wait til you see the back:

Elegant, delicate, and gorgeous. I love the way the skirt dips lower in the back. If you wore flats, or are, uh, vertically challenged, there might be a small sweep. And, like I said,this little bit of dress paradise is on sale. Draped Chiffon Gown by Valentino

The pleated design on the bodice, in combination with the asymmetrical cut, really emphasizes the top of the gown. And the skirt gently flares out from the hips, creating a shape that will work for a lot of women, but if especially good if you have lovely shoulders, but don’t want to draw too much attention to your bottom half. The champagne color is great for fall, not as stark as bright white, and will compliment darker skin tones beautifully. Available for $1,559 from Smashing Darling.

I love the body skimming sheath silhouette, and the soft drape of the fabrics. The asymmetrical ruffle detail goes from top to bottom, which creates a long, lean, unbroken line that lengthens the body.
