Nia Frills Grosgrain Heel by Aruna Seth

Aruna Seth makes seriously posh accessories that have a distinct princess vibe. The line’s shoes are made in sumptuous satins, with bow and Swarovski crystal embellishments. This new pair, call the Nia Frills, has a fashion-forward ruffle-y look that I love.
These metallic gold leather and cream grosgrain platform sandals are sure to add a touch of  glamour to your wedding ensemble. The diamante accents on the bow will bring attention right down to your ankles. They have almost a 40’s vibe that would be amazing with a bias-cut silk charmeuse gown a la Rita Hayworth. Available at Aruna Seth.

Wedding Shoes Worth Re-Wearing

It’s really unbelievable how often I start sentences with the phrase “in this economic climate” these days. Well, here I go again. In this economic climate, it seems insane to spend $700 on a pair of wedding shoes that you’re really only going to wear once. Why not invest in a pair of shoes that you will love and wear forever?
These totally dance worthy Tango pumps by Maison Martin Margiela are the kind of shoes that you reach for again and again. The white coated leather upper is sleek and retro, and the chic heel is thick and looks like …read more

Don’t Forget The Shoes!!!!

To go with my gorgeous new DVF second wedding dress, I am wearing these fabulous white leather slingback sandals by Nine West. My aunt and grandmother picked them out for me long distance, and luckily they fit like a dream.
I love the barely there straps of these sandals, because they are dainty and don’t compete with my dress at all. The heel height is listed at 3″, but they don’t feel that high. I usually don’t go in for low heels, but there’s no way I could walk in something this strappy if it were a high stiletto, not for …read more

Cendrillon Patent Ballerina by Repetto

There are several reasons to wear flats under your wedding gown. The first is, as always, comfort. Maybe you just aren’t a sky high heels kind of girl. Well, even if you are, you might consider having a pair of flats on hand for the moment when all the picture taking, dancing, and partying begin to take their toll on your tootsies. I did, and it saved me hours of squirming.
Or maybe you’re wearing a cute little mod mini dress that is just crying out to be paired with some patent white flats like these. Whatever your reason for wearing …read more

no fair

I’m still looking for my perfect pair of “wedding” shoes.  I’ve got a pair of cream satin ballet flats that are close, but not exactly, wonderfully perfect.
I saw this pair this afternoon.

And tried them on….
And got the clerk to phone around and see if there was a larger pair in the city.
Nope.
Oh blast!  I really liked them too
