Ivanka Trump married Jared Kushner this weekend at the Trump Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Kushner is the child of another New York power family, which makes the marriage a match made in financial heaven.
Looks posh. In other news, Ivanka converted to Judaism to marry Kushner, and they were married in a Jewish ceremony by a rabbi. Mazel tov!
The official wedding photos are being kept under wraps, but we did score this candid of Ivana, the mother-of-the-bride, looking very, um, blonde and botoxed.

Even if you usually pass LBDs by with a blasé attitude, I think you’ll be surprised at how new this old standby can look.
Oh, Alexander McQueen, you little British bad boy, do you ever go wrong? Not in my opinion, and certainly not here. The classic Grecian draping we’ve seen for the past few seasons moves, in this dress, to the bottom, which …read more

When my mother was married, my grandmother (her mother in-law to be) loaned her a porcelain flower brooch to wear in her hair. Now that I’m engaged, I wanted to wear the same pin that my mother did, and my grandmother before her. There was one small problem.
My Nana couldn’t find the pin. She looked all over her house. My aunt looked all over her house. My parents even looked all over Nana’s house.
And no pin.
“Oh well” I thought, I’m sure I can find more. So I started building up my own collection of porcelain flowers to wear.
And then, Nana found …read more

Although very few people ever see your garter, the perfect one is still more important than you know. It also makes a great keepsake that you can store away and then bring out every once in a while to bring back the memories of your big day.

The Sixpence in the Shoe Superstition
April 5, 2006 by admin

I was just at a wedding a few weeks ago and never thought to ask the bride if she had A sixpence in her shoe. Her family is very British, so I think that there was probably a very good chance that someone had slipped her the tiny coin. I always thought that this was for luck, but apparently it is to bring wealth to the couple. Damn… why didn’t I know about this when I tied to knot? Perhaps it just might be a good enough reason to renew the vows on our 30th anniversary. My tastes have certainly …read more
