I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Linette, and I’ve been writing here at Splendicity Weddings for a couple weeks now, but I never really said hello. I’ve been around bridal shops, and weddings for most of my life, so I can’t wait to share my wedding info here with all of you.
I also write about weddings at Blisstree’s Our One Heart, and about party planning and entertaining at She Knows Parties, and planning children’s parties at The Kid’s Birthday Fun Review.

Tiananmen Wedding

Chinese Paramilitary officers had a mass wedding in Tiananmen Square in Beijing on Saturday. The sheer size of the event made it a sight to behold.
All the brides wore white, Western-style gowns, and all the men wore their uniforms. I love this shot with the colorful confetti.
At the end of the ceremony, the grooms carried their new wives on their backs.
Wrong time to make a joke about your lady’s eating habits, guy! Seriously, though, doesn’t she look a little irritated with him?

And no pin.
“Oh well” I thought, I’m sure I can find more. So I started building up my own collection of porcelain flowers to wear.
And then, Nana found …read more

I’m thrilled to be getting married this summer, and of course, wanted to do something a little different for my bridesmaids. Instead of going with the traditional “everyone in the same dress”, I asked my bridesmaids to choose their own dress patterns. Everyone will have the same fabric for the dresses and I found some gorgeous sheer printed organza to make shawls out of.
I wanted to share my floral brooches with my friends, and decided on this look:
Because I want to remain friends with my bridesmaids after my wedding, I felt it was better to give everyone as much choice …read more
