A Classic Trench Coat for your Leading Lady

There’s something oh so glamorous about a trench coat. You’ve seen this wardrobe staple in all of the classic Hollywood films as well as shows. All fashionistas know a trench coat will take their outfits to a new level of sophisticated-ness.  You can pick up the classic tan trench or spice up your wardrobe with a bright shade or even a print.
I was browsing through one of my favourite shops, Anthropologie, today and came across an amazing trench coat that I just had to share with you!
The Leading Lady Trench Coat by Eley Kishimoto ($498) is a fantastic coat that …read more

Sweetest Perfection Coat by Kahri

Having a great jacket makes everything better all winter long. Seriously, how much does it suck to have to wear a warm jacket that you hate for four months? It happens really easily, too, because leather looks great but isn’t actually that warm, and warm, practical coats almost always look really practical in a too-grown-up-for-me kind of way. Well, not this one. Check it.
This is really dope AND practical. It’s made of a combination of wool and angora that’s bound to be soft and cuddly, and lined in tie-dyed silk. It combines moto jacket styling with a utilitarian length and …read more

it’s possible to be warm & fashionable

I’m on the hunt for cold-weather clothing that’s going to keep me warm & still look fashionable
I’ve found a few jackets that fit the bill:

I love the print on this 100% wool coat by Paul Smith Blue.

Or how about this fiery red embroidered wool jacket from Ungaro Fever?
Okay, so red is a little bold for you…

What about going with this soft grey printed wool trench coat from Missoni?

jackets for a blustery day

I’m not quite sure what happened… it was gloriously hot last week – and it’s now feeling like October.
So not fair!
My apologies to those of you still suffering in summer heat – we’re going to talk jackets today!
I love this new motorcyle jacket from Rock & Republic:

It’s their “Paice Washed Leather” jacket.
If leather isn’t quite your style, how about a lambswool melton jacket from L.A.M.B.?

I love that turquoise color!
And since I seem to be going with bolder colors today…

How about this merino wool jacket from Alexander McQueen?

slightly less over the top from Roberto Cavalli

To prove that Roberto Cavalli also knows his way around the classics:

Voila!  The classic, elegant wool trench coat.
I admit, it does have leopard print lining, but wouldn’t that look stunning on a blustery winter day?
