New Gucci Sunglasses Designs for Winter

]]> I was flipping through my most recent Nordstrom catalogue featuring new winter accessories when I spotted these amazing Gucci sunglasses.  Fun colorful frames are great for summer, but classic and sophisticated sunglasses are perfect to pair with your wool coat and cashmere scarf in winter.  Don’t forget that there are lots of sunny days in the winter that will require proper eye protection!

Gucci Oversized Sunglasses $220

Lilly Cole is modelling these amazing classic Gucci frames.  The oversized square frames have the classic red and green Gucci stripe and logo along the temple.  I love the vintage feel!  These are very sophisticated and would look amazing with a classic cashmere coat.

Gucci Flora Oversized Square Sunglasses $295

For a little bit more of a statement, these sunglasses have a beautiful black and white floral print along the wide temple.  These would look great with skinny jeans and a leather jacket.

Gucci Bamboo Logo Sunglasses $275

I’m usually not a fan of big logos, but these gold bamboo linked G logos are tastefully done.  The oversized rectangular frames have thicker acetate along the outside of the temple which creates a connection to the Gucci logo.  These are a very glamorous style that would look great with your faux fur coat!

Cozy Gap Slipper Booties

]]> Gap has a winter collection of the coziest-looking slippers I have ever seen!  I’ve never tried the slipper bootie before, but as a combination between a a sweater, a cozy pair of socks and a thick durable pair of slippers it seems like a pretty genius invention.  I can just imagine cuddling up on the couch with a hot cup of cocoa, a DVR full of Gossip Girl and Project Runway episodes, and some Gap slipper booties on my feet for the best weekend ever.

Gap Slipper Booties in Spanish Moss $29.50

These knit sweater cable-knit booties come in six different colors.  A sueded bottom gives the slippers traction and the pom pom ties around the top are just darn cute.

This is another knit slipper bootie style that is more similar to a sock with ribbing and a small geometric design at the top.

If I still lived in New York, these would be the first item on my list of casual Winter fashion must-haves…

Despite the fact that many big Canadian designers chose not to participate in Toronto Fashion Week this time, we have seen very impessive presentations, including aboriginal fashion by Fashion Nations and very elaborate and expensive leather and furs by Izzy Camilleri.”

Okay, I’m really liking this style for next year, but I want to put this winter to bed before I even think about what we will be wearing next year. But I know that there are some of you out there already enjoying the warmer temperatures of spring. Just not me :(
