New York Fashion Week is well under way, with half of the Spring and Summer 2010 collections already sent down the runway.

Designers have been showing some gorgeous pieces for Spring, with yummy colors and very wearable accessories coming up for the next season.

Diane Von Furstenburg continued the trend of bold, simple accessories in bright candy colors with her big bangle bracelets:

The knotted necklace almost has a tribal feel to it – but updated with more of those great colors.

I can pass on the feathery sleeves, but those shoes from Zac Posen are completely yummy! How can you resist the combination of blue satin, crystal accents and bows? I don’t think you can get more girly-girl than that…

I love Lacoste’s simple, elegant white sunhats – accented with a plain black ribbon band. They’re completely wearable and very flattering – now where can I get one, please?

Fall Yellow Zac Posen Dress

Yellow is a great Summer color. If worn the right way, with great accessories and with a great fun, flirty attitude it can be made in to “your color.” But, what happens when the bell tolls and the calendar says, “Oh…it’s Fall?” Do you put away that yellow dress, top, or skirt and say, “Until next year friend…it was a fun run”? I sure hope not! Just like any color, there are certain tones and hues that can turn the color from bright and happy to rich and sophisticated. And that’s what this Zac Posen Silk Crepe Love Dress is; rich and sophisticated.

This dress is a lime yellow/green color with with a full skirt and amazing stitched detail throughout. I particularly adore the detail in the stomach area where the V neck and the gathering from the full skirt come together. What a design! I so want it. If you’ve been on the fence about that wonderfully versatile but sometimes goofily 80s article of clothing known as leggings, fall may be the season to finally come to grips with your aversion to them. Metallic Print Gowns: More Runway Trends

The evening wear on the Fall runways was every kind of metallic and glittery. I’ve already covered the more uniform fabrics in metallics, and glitters, but another thing that is really blowing me away is the way metallics have been used to create patterns.

Metallic printing and sequins have been combined in a way on this Pucci gown that makes the shimmery fabric look like it is falling in waves. The ornately embellished bodice is balanced out by the delicate simplicity of the chiffon skirt.

The metallic sequins on this Calvin Klein gown are clustered into an almost giraffe print pattern. When I think of sequins, I usually think of prom type gowns, but this is an utterly classic and chic print. The asymmetrical hem of the skirt and the simple silhouette keep the print from going over the top.

This dramatic Zac Posen gown is one of my absolute favorites. The combination of the deep sweep and elaborate sleeves is just breathtaking, and the interwocen metallic threads create subtle striping that enhances the long lines of the gown.

I was checking out the Neiman Marcus website today and holy moly, they’ve come out with the fall lines already. Now, I know we’ve already seen these lines on the runway and fashionistas have eagerly been awaiting to get their hands on these precious pieces…but I haven’t even had I chance to show off my tan lines yet!

However, this Zac Posen Nora Dress is a good compromise. If I have to be in a fall mood in May then I can wear a slinky little sundress thing.

The dress itself is green and indigo with an almost tribal Native American feel to it. I also like the two tiered fringe on the bottom. It makes me want to get up and dance. The Nora dress is $1,790.

I know I’ve said it before, but do I ever love these shades of purple! This Zac Posen Seamed Dress has color blocks of light and dark amethyst with a sweetheart neckline.
