The Fashion Show Final 4: Daniella

The Fashion Show Final 4: Daniella

Name: Daniella
Winning Designs: 3
Considers Her Style To Be: Edgy, with a bit of rockstar flair
Worked With: Luca Luca, Les Chiffoniers and Alexander McQueen
We Loved: The gorgeous homage to Christian Dior.
We Hated: The cropped floral pants that destroyed an otherwise pretty outfit.
Final Thoughts: Daniella has been very strong in this competition…clearly she is in it to win it. But is that enough? She has been strong, or the strongest, in a number of elimination challenges, and taken home a few prizes in the mini-challenge competitions too. Even though her attitude and teamwork could still use a lot of work, Daniella …read more

The Fashion Show Final 4: Reco

The Fashion Show Final 4: Reco

Name: Reco
Winning Designs: 1
Hometown: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Considers His Style To Be: Sexy and Ultra Glamorous
We Loved: The curvy work combo he created for the plus-size challenge.
We Hated: The candy colored evening gown from last week.
Final Thoughts: Even though Reco can be prone to drama and outbursts when he is under stress, he has created some lovely pieces throughout the competition. At times he can be a little out there, but no matter how short the skirt or tight the shirt, Reco’s designs are always wearable.
The Fashion Show airs at 10pm ET/PT eachThursday on Bravo and don’t forget – after each episode, …read more

The Fashion Show Final 4: James-Paul

The Fashion Show Final 4: James-Paul

Name: James-Paul
Winning Designs: 1
Inspiration: 1920’s Bauhaus
Worked With: Vivienne Westwood
We Loved: The Rubick’s Cube dress and Bolero jacket from the first week.
We Hated: His design (and attitude) for the plus-size challenge.
Final Thoughts: James-Paul started out strong in the competition. There were a few designs at the very beginning that made it seem as though he was a shoe-in for the grand prize. But as the competition progressed, there were a lot of blunders and poor showings from James-Paul too. Let’s hope he can pull it together for the final runway show because there’s no hiding behind weaker designs this time!

The Fashion Show: Episode 10 Best and Worst

The Fashion Show: Episode 10 Best and Worst

We have already discussed Johnny’s bad design decisions in this week’s episode of The Fashion Show, which meant this week deciding who to send home was and not necessarily based which evening gown was truly heinous. I was surprised and delighted to see what Daniella created. The flow-y grey dress drapes so nicely…and the embellishment across the back is just interesting enough to stand out, without trying so hard that it rules the classic shape.

Then there was Reco’s candy colored dress. I honestly can’t stand this one bit – dropped waists are so unflattering if you are not shaped like …read more

The Fashion Show: Episode 10 Winning Design

The Fashion Show: Episode 10 Winning Design

Do you have a fancy evening shindig coming up? Daniella’s winning design from episode 10 of The Fashion Show might be just what you need. There was no question this week of who dominated the runway – Daniella continues to get stronger as we head into the final episodes..!
The evening gown is made of 3 layers of trey tonal chiffon and designed to have a beautiful, elegant almost Grecian silhouette. On the shoulder is a hand beaded, jewel encrusted embellishment just to give it that little extra bit of sparkle.

The dress will be available to ship on July 23rd and …read more

Get The Look: Full Volume Low Bun

Get The Look: Full Volume Low Bun

The same model who sported the bouncy curls last week on The Fashion Show was number one on the runway this week with a chic and sexy low bun by TRESemmé lead stylist, Jeanie Syfu. I love an updo that doesn’t look too fussy but still makes a statement, especially when you’re wearing something as chic as Daniella’s dream evening gown.

Elegant and easy to replicate at home, you can create the same look yourself following a few simple steps:
1. Starting with damp hair, apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse on the top section, and blow dry with a round …read more

The Fashion Show: Johnny’s Decoy Collection

The Fashion Show: Johnny’s Decoy Collection

The judges have spoken and Johnny’s poor showing this week cemented his fate as another casualty of The Fashion Show. After comparing the photos…you can’t help but ask: Did he really come to the same conclusions about his dress that Lanvin did for Maggie Gyllenhaal?
But, the show must go on…and Johnny had a chance to present a somewhat subdued collection for the season finale audience. Maybe he lost all his inspiration after the scandal, maybe he never really had any to begin with…but this is not a very interesting collection to me. It’s all kind of blah and boring…hopefully with …read more
