2 Natural Highlighting Tips

Now that the weather is getting warmer, you’re going to spend more time in the sun. Whether you’re gardening or relaxing on the deck, why not put your outdoor time to good use and highlight your hair…naturally.

If you’re looking for blonde highlights, spritz your hair with lemon before going out in the sun. The lemon will lighten your locks – or paint lemony streaks for highlights. Those wishing for red highlights can do the same with cranberry juice. But not sweet cranberry cocktails. Go to the health food or organic food store and buy real cranberry juice.

A warning though:  If it’s buggy in your area, you may have issues. Still, it’s a great way to get highlights or a little hair lightening without paying a fortune. Simply rinse and condition when you’re through!
