3 Skin Cancer Protection Tips

We’ve talked about protecting the skin from cancer before here at The List Maven, but it’s skin cancer awareness month and the Beauty & Style channel’s theme so I don’t think it’ll hurt to go over it again. Really, there’s no such thing as too much education.
It’s actually quite simple. To protect your skin from the sun, you have to limit exposure. Here’s how:
- Avoid the sun during its hottest times: The sun is at its brightest between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Do your best to either stay out of your son or protect your skin during this time.
- Protect yourself with sunblock: If you will be out in the son, wear plenty of sunblock on any exposed area. It doesn’t matter if you’ll be out for a few hours or a few minutes, you still need maximum protection. A block with an SPF of 15 or higher is best.
- Always wear a hat and UV-protected sunglasses when spending the day out of doors. A beach umbrella is another good investment.
