Lip Care Tips and a New Product from Blistex

Blistex Soothing Splash

When I was a teenager, Blistex consisted of a tube filled with white medicated liquid to handle cold sores or chapped lips. The taste wasn’t pleasant and if you didn’t take the time to “blend” your lips would turn white. Thank goodness times have changed. I’m happy to tell you about one brand new product from Blistex called “Blistex Lip Infusion”.

Use this Lip Infusion one time and it will soon become a purse staple. The roll on ball reminds me of the “Lip Smackers” I was so fond of in my teen years. Blistex Lip Infusion is clear and glossy.  It’s medicated but not waxy so it soothes lips and leaves them feeling hydrated and looking great! It’s SPF 15 so you can leave the house and not have to worry about damage from the sun. Now, if they would only come out with a tinted version, it would be perfect!

Here are some other great Lip Care Courtesy of Blistex:

  1. Use Lip Balm regularly to keep lips smooth: Daily treatment of the lips helps maintain a smooth, soft feel and appearance.
  2. Care for your lips before they become dull and dry: Think of it as preventative maintenance. Besides, we all use moisturizers twice a day for our skin. The same should hold true of our lips. Use a lip moisturizing product twice a day for healthy, hydrated lips.
  3. Don’t let the sun shine…without caring for your lips: Don’t leave the house without lip protection. Use a product with an SPF of at least 15. Exposure to the sun can result in dry lips, cold sores, and other sun damage.

I always keep a lip balm in my jacket pocket and purse so they’re handy when I need them. I don’t know about you, but I find dry lips to be terribly uncomfortable and distracting. Keep lips hydrated by drinking lots of water and using a lip moisturizing product. It only takes seconds to apply, so you have no excuse!

Would you like to win a tube of Blistex Lip Infusion? Use the comments section to tell me three reasons why you would like to sample this product. I’ll choose two winners at random next Monday, February 11th.

    How about me, because my lips are dry and track season is coming up. That means when it is cold windy and rainy I will be standing outside for hours waiting for my son to do his Hundred meter dash that is over in seconds.

    1. My lips are ALWAYS chapped. I’ve been through like, five tubes of chap-stick since December.

    2. That little rolly-ball thing looks pretty cool. [;

    3. Where I live, it’s either sunny & hot (so I need the SPF,) or cold & windy (so my lips get chapped & dry)

  3. Mary Jo says:

    1. Dry, cracked lips are NOT attractive so I need all the help I can get.

    2. It’s small enough to fit into the pockets of even my skinniest jeans.

    1. I’ve been having extremely bad problems with chapped lips, and my ChapStick hasn’t helped. So, I’d like to try something new.

    I should have the BListex Lip Infusion because a) I’m already a Blistex user, b) I can’t afford the Lip Infusion in beauty stores and c) my lips get chapped and dry easily.
