In my quest for a new facial cleanser, I tried Juice Beauty Green Apple Cleansing Gel. Here’s my review – in list format!
Here what Juice Beauty says about their product:
A brightening hydroxy-acid complex of certified organic, antioxidant-rich apple and lemon juices, purifying botanicals and soothing cleansers to gently remove dull, lifeless skin and refine complexion for radiant, ageless beauty. 4 oz, $26.
Here’s what I say. . . .
The Pros:
- No animal testing.
- OK for use with a Clarisonic.
- It rinses off easily.
- Affordable price point.
The Cons:
- Pump dispenser broke after I used it the first time – CHEAP!
- Smell – with all the apple and lemon juices, and given the name of the product, I expect a fruitier smell. It doesn’t smell bad, it’s just . . . weird.
- It didn’t foam or suds up. In fact, it didn’t really do anything other than slide around on my face.
- After rinsing off, my skin didn’t have a fresh, clean feel.
The Neutrals:
- The texture is odd, sort of like honey on my face, and it took some getting used to.
- 4 ounce container means that I can’t take it in my carry on luggage.
The Bottom Line:
I didn’t HATE if, but I didn’t love it either. I didn’t see or feel a difference in my skin, and although a couple weeks may be too soon, the cleanser just doesn’t have enough going for it for me to keep with it. NEXT!
If you have a cleanser that you love and think it will be great for my skin type and needs, please leave a recommendation in the comments.
