SweetSoaps offers a variety of fantastic specialty soaps that are really fun. Just in time for the holidays, they have created the Santa’s Coal Soap. This soap looks like a real lump of black coal, but it has a fantastic, sweet candy cane fragrance.
This 3 oz soap comes in a cloth bag with a stamped folk art Santa on the front. Priced at $5.00 each, this soap is the perfect stocking stuffer.
Also check out their Snowman Poop Soap. The bag says, “You’ve been naughty so here’s the scoop. All you get for Christmas is Snowman POOP!”

Do you want longer, stronger, fuller eyelashes? In recent years, a variety of different eyelash stimulators have hit the market, promising lush results. And though some of them have been duds, one of them that really works, in my experience, is LashFood.
You use LashFood like liquid eyeliner by applying it along the root of your lashes nightly. For faster results, you can use it in the morning too — it won’t interfere with makeup.
LashFood contains all natural ingredients that condition, repair, restore and create long, thick and healthy lashes.
You should start to see results in 2-4 weeks, but continue to …read more

Smell Bent has a new line of fragrances for the holidays. They are only available for a limited time (gone by 1/1/10), so grab ‘em while you can.
I’ve mentioned before how much I love the fragrances available from Smell Bent. They work well as unisex and have unique note combinations and funny names - a smile is the perfect compliment to a great fragrance. I got some samples in the mail to try for review. My daughter sat down with me and we went through them all. Our favorite, hands down, is the Elf Fullfilling. We loved that it smelled like a …read more
Bang Back the Years

Did you know you can add youth and vitality with just cutting some bangs into your hair style?
“Bangs can be a great way to frame the face and actually add volume to the face,” says stylist Atuozo Neihule.
Why is this? Well, you have probably noticed that as we get older, a lot of us tend to notice lines draw our face downward. Bangs can actually offset long lines, by framing the face and brining attention to the eyes.
What else is great at “cutting” time?
A short cut can often open the face and brighten the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Yvonne …read more

I am one of those females who values aesthetics a lot more than comfort, so I have tortured my feet with every sort of uncomfortable shoe possible. I’ve worn pointy toes, super high heels, strappy sandals, shoes that are too big, shoes that are too small, shoes that rub in the wrong places, shoes that cause blisters, and anything else you can imagine that looks really cute and hurts a lot.
I’ve never even thought of my heels as a part of my body that needed special attention, but I received a sample of HeelTastic Intensive Heel Therapy and decided to …read more

After flying for twenty-three hours, even the most well-headed of us are going to look sort of…blah.
A lot of us deal with circumstances like this in day-to-day life, whether it’s workout to work, office to happy hour, or storage room quickie to meeting room pow wow.
Wendy Iles, a couture celebrity hairstylist based in Paris and New York, says one great way to recoup is to let your hair re-condition itself while you take care of the rest of your body.
Take a workout, for example. By working in a deep conditioner or heavy masque through your hair during your workout, your …read more

What Do Your Memories Smell Like?
November 18, 2009 by Michelle Smith
The Fragrance Foundation describes fragrance as being like a “musical composition.” The top note is the “overture,” the middle or heart note would be the “chorus,” and the base note is like the lingering memory of the song, “…lingering on the skin for many pleasurable hours.”
I like this idea, because I use both scent and song to place memories. For example, and that smell when rain first begins to fall, it creates a particular scent as it hits the blacktop of the street. Do you know what I mean? That smell instantly takes me back to my sophomore year of high …read more
