When I heard that Reese Witherspoon was working on a fragrance with AVON, I imagined it to be something floral. I look at Reese and I see feminine, confident, and a whole lot of blond hair. For some reason that says “floral” to me.
In Bloom, the fragrance that Witherspoon created with AVON, is a Floral, but it’s warmly grounded with Woody and Oriental notes. The combination makes In Bloom womanly, rather than girly, which I think is a smart choice because it appeals to a much larger audience.

Kenzo is a company that is always trying something new. They will take one their established fragrances and tweak it, make something new with the addition of notes, all new packaging, etc. It’s one of the reasons that I really enjoy writing about them – there’s always something interesting going on.
A good example is the new Kenzo Power Cologne for men. They started with the original Amber notes of Kenzo Power and followed in the tradition of the early 18th century colognes by opening with fresh, aromatic citrus notes.

While waiting for trick-or-treaters to come to my door, I decided to do a little shopping. The cutest little bottle of Juicy Couture’s Travel Eau de Parfum – Strawberry caught my eye.  The bottle is a one ounce size with a little strawberry charm hanging off the side of the top. Adorable. Yesterday, I reviewed Mally, the new fragrance from Mally Beauty. Mally Roncal, of Mally Beauty, launched her first eau de parfum yesterday, October 29, 2009. The fragrance called Mally, is the first fragrance in the Mally Beauty collection.
Mally’s signature fragrance is a Floral Citrusthat is built around the Sampaguita Flower. This flower is the national flower of the Phillipines and has a scent that is a lot like Jasmine. It was used as a way to honor Mally’s Filipino heritage. In addition, the Sampaguita Flower is a symbol of fidelity, devotion, purity, strength, and dedication.

The latest fragrance is Ineke’s line of unisex alphabetical fragrances is Field Notes From Paris.  The fragrance was inspired by Ineke’s days in Paris and Versailles where she studied perfumery. “It captures the romantic, nostalgic feelings of sitting in a cafe and writing in a journal while lingering for hours over a cafe creme.”
