Jeffrey Campbell is not quite indie. But not quite corporate evil, either, and since he makes such great rip-offs of couture favorites and edgy, embellished basics, we’re gonna give him the benefit of the doubt by way of shout out. Love these boots, Jeffrey Campbell.

Well, they’re a little bit country and a little bit rock-n-roll, and a whole lot totally kick ass. Love the stud design and the multi-grommeted straps. Not to mention the buckles. Yay for buckles! The heel is just about just right for not making your feet hurt after wearing them all day, and the smooth leather should stand up to some pretty major ass whuppin’. Avaialble for $198 from OakNYC.

Betsey Johnson now is great. But, Betsey Johnson twenty-plus years ago kicks more ass than you can possibly imagine. Unless you were alive and cool, then, which I seriously doubt, because that would make you like Debbie Harry or something. Anyways, I am willing to trade my soul for this getup, because it is just that rad.

Unfortunately, the small-breasted (such as myself) may have a problem holding this baby up. But other than that, this is a silhouette that will work for almost everyone. That little peplum will obscure any perceived problem areas and balance out a heavier top. Plus, it gives the illusion of slimmer legs, and who doesn’t want those? And yes, those are little teeny rosebuds on it. Sweet and sassy and a little bit trashy. Yum. Avaialble for $315 from Opening Ceremony.

I am so down with dresses that are painfully sexy without being painfully slutty. Not that I have anything against slutty, mind you, but I also like a little mystery in my life. And this fishtail dress is nothing if not a little mystery.

Seriously? Skin tight and low-backed and lycra and black and oh my, I think I’m getting a little overheated here. Plus the sleeves are super extra long, which I love, as is the skirt. Okay, I know that basically no one can afford this, and it’s sold out, anyways, but as discerning consumers, you deserve to know about Pamela Love if you don’t already. She’s a jewelry designer, and her sh&t is so f*$king cool it makes my teeth hurt. Check it.

I know that you’re thinking, “Holy God, why didn’t I know about this?” But, it’s okay. Pamela is a relative newcomer to the fashion scene. I totally just heard of this designer, Illex Kinney the other day on Gnarlitude, one of my top ten fave blogs. These wedges are basically perfect. Check it.

I love the way the asymmetrical laces gather the leather so that it looks rouched. Umm, and the fact that these babies look like a solid four inches of fun. The almond-shaped toe is spot on and walkable. Wear with everything. Available for $250 from Bona Drag.

I don’t lust after bags. Some people think it’s like a personality defect or something, but whatever. Bags hold things. I want them to be practical first, leather second, and black no matter what. Other than that, I’m mostly unimpressed with the bells and whistles of the handbag industry. Until now. Now, I am thinking of selling my car/bike/soul to buy this. Check it.

Yes, people, that’s not one but two kinds of skin on this bag and one of them is snakeskin which makes me feel all woozy and blush. Um, and check the chains on the handle. Not just totally badass looking, but also practically placed, so as not to dig into your shoulder. I love how dark and burnished the studs on this bag are, not all shiny and pop punk. Dear Santa, if you’re still speaking to me after that whole TP in the North Pole incident, this is what I want. Avaialble for $622 from Oak NYC.

Nothing says white trash faster than a wolf tee. Which is why I’m stocking up now and repping my roots. Paired with a fringe jacket and high boots, and you’re basically me at 33 trying to look like me at 13. FYI: my leather doesn’t actually have fringe on it, but I kinda wish it did.

93% of interesting people love lobsters. No, really, it’s true. Gerard de Nerval, a completely awesome symbolist poet and haver of nervous breakdowns, was known to walk his pet lobster around the streets of Paris. This shirt is a tribute to him.

The text is in French, but translated, it reads “I have a liking for lobsters. They are peaceful, serious creatures. They know the secrets of the sea, they don’t bark…” Ha! It’s true! They really don’t bark. Available for $24 from Xenotees.
